This trick was performed via:

Use the preferred spelling of the MSYS2 project
...
While it does not make sense to pretend that the project name is a
four-letter acronym (it really stands for "Minimal System"), it is
definitely not worth an issue to fight over. We have much bigger fish
to fry.
