The downloaded FFmpeg For Audacity is several years old. I wonder whether the files are still secure.

When I download the current ffmpeg version 8.0 I must rename the dll files (change the number in the file name) that Audacity recognizes them and I can read and write MP3 files.

The current dll files are much bigger than those in FFmpeg For Audacity. But it seem like they also work.
If it is better to use the current FFmpeg version, can there be provided an easy way to download and install the current version?
