Trilium doesn't currently support dragging and dropping selected text from one note to another with the mouse. Drag & drop is available for moving entire notes in the note tree, and you can use the "Cut selection to sub-note" feature to move selected text into a new sub-note, but that's not a drag & drop operation and only works within the same note wiki.

There are feature requests for drag & drop of blocks within the editor, but cross-note drag & drop of text isn't supported and would require changes both in Trilium and CKEditor, which currently only allows drag & drop within the same editor instance discussion. For now, the fastest workflow is to use the cut-to-sub-note shortcut or copy/paste between notes.
